if you know us in real life, you might already know we were stolen from recently. without going into too much detail, someone planned a benefit for josh & tried to keep most of the money. this person spun a web of lies, was caught red-handed & returned the money shortly after. they claim to be sorry, but i’m not buying it.
when you’re dealing with heavy shit, you really get to see people’s true colors. as you’d expect, most people are great & they want to help. some are amazing & really blow you away with their kindness! others come on a little too strong, but at least you know they care.
what you don’t expect is to discover that some people are just assholes. someone trying to make a profit off of josh’s situation is definitely the most extreme thing we’ve encountered. trust me though, i’ve had a handful of people who have made my blood boil throughout this experience.
even though i’ve seen the ugly in people, i’m glad to know who they really are. i’m even more glad to know who our true friends are. nothing you guys do goes unnoticed or unappreciated. when this strange phase is just a distant memory, we’ll all have one hell of a party. as for the assholes, you won’t be invited.
