i’m a pretty normal looking person. i don’t have an arm growing out of my forehead. i can walk, talk & get around just fine. when i go out, no one stares at me. everyone treats me like a fellow normal person.
when i go out with josh, that’s not always the case. some people talk to him like he’s a baby. once, a guy came up & cried in his face. i could go on & on, but my point is that people act fucking weird. whether their intentions are good or they’re just plain rude, it’s not ok with me.
get a grip, people! if someone is in a wheelchair or someone really does have an arm growing out of their forehead, ignore it. talk to them like you would talk to anyone! believe it or not, they’re probably human just like the rest of us.
going back to the crying dude, not everyone facing health or physical problems wants to be an inspirational story on daytime tv. a lot of people just want to live their lives & have a good time under the radar. if seeing someone like josh strikes an emotional chord with you, just keep it to yourself. let them enjoy their time out of the house & feel normal for a little while.
we all have problems. some of us are just lucky enough to be able to hide them when we leave the house. imagine if you couldn’t. deep down, we all know we’re weirdos. the least we can do for each other is pretend we don’t notice.
